    Texas has several forms of legal entities. These forms include

​1.   Texas for-profit corporations (subchapter C corporation or subchapter S corporation);
2.   Texas non-profit corporations;
3.   Texas non-profit unincorporated association;
4.   Texas limited liability company (LLC);  
5.   Texas limited partnerships (LP);
6.   Texas limited liability partnerships (LLP);
7.   Texas professional limited liability company (PLLC);
8.   Texas professional corporations (PC);
9.   Texas Professional Associations (PA)

   The Texas Business Organizations Code was adopted effective January 1, 2006.  It’s provisions changed some of the old business entity laws and codified others into one code.  I help clients deter- mine the most appropriate legal entity for their business and help them legally form and operate those entities.
